Frequently asked questions
The basics of GoCheck, for renters and checkers alike. Log in to see answers about your own requests or jobs.
What is GoCheck?
GoCheck connects people renting from far away with verified locals who visit the property for them. The renter gets a clear report with photos and video before they pay a deposit or sign anything, and the checker is paid for the visit.
How does it work?
A renter posts a request for the property they want checked. A verified checker in that area accepts it, visits at the agreed time and sends a report. Once payment through GoCheck opens (coming soon), it's held until the renter accepts the report, and then the checker is paid.
How are checkers vetted?
Government ID (KTP, passport or driver's license) and a verified phone number are required before approval. New checkers carry a 'New checker' label and a lower introductory rate until they complete their first jobs.
Which cities do you cover?
We're launching in Bali (Canggu, Seminyak, Ubud, Sanur, Denpasar, Uluwatu) with a growing pool of checkers in Yogyakarta, Bandung and Lombok.
How is the money kept safe?
Payment through GoCheck is coming soon; nothing is charged yet. Once it opens, the renter pays GoCheck before the visit, and the payment is held until they accept the report. Renters only pay out for a report they've received, and checkers know the money is secured before they travel.
How do I sign up?
Choose Log in or sign up in the menu, then continue as a renter or a checker. Log in with a 6-digit code we send to your WhatsApp, or with your Google or Facebook account, so there's no password to remember.
Can I be both a renter and a checker?
Not with one account. You choose renter or checker when you sign up, and the account stays that way. To do both, make a second account with another email, Google or Facebook account, or WhatsApp number.
What if something goes wrong?
Renters can open a dispute within 3 days of a report being delivered. A GoCheck reviewer compares the report with the standard template and the renter's questions, and decides on a full release, a partial refund or a free re-visit.
